How Do You Find Customer Feedback That Never Reaches Your Feedback Tool?
List the tools where customers talk to you, then compare a recent sample from each one with what your feedback tool already holds. Mark each topic covered, thin, or missing. Every gap has a cause, such as a tool that was never connected, a Slack channel without the bot, or feedback that only lives in a CSV export.
Why Customer Feedback Stays Scattered Across Tools
Customers tell you things in Slack threads, support tickets, sales calls, and CRM notes. Some of it reaches your feedback tool and some never does. You only find out when a big customer complains about something that has no theme, because the channel it came through was never connected.
How Deck Shows Which Feedback It Is Missing
Deck shows what it receives: each integration's state, every synced Slack channel, and the uploads still waiting to process. The sweep compares that with a recent sample from your other tools, topic by topic. Each gap gets its cause and one fix, and nothing changes in Deck or in the other tools while you check.
How to Find Missing Customer Feedback in Deck
Run it yourself in Deck, or hand it to your AI agent. Same steps, same result.
- 01
Name the Tools That Hold Customer Feedback
List where customers talk to you: Slack, your support desk, your CRM, your call recorder. Pick a time window. The last 30 days is a good default.
- 02
Check What Deck Already Receives
Open Settings โ Integrations and note which tools are connected, which need attention, and which are not connected. Then check Manage โ CSV Uploads for uploads that show Waiting for Credits.
- 03
Check Your Slack Channels
Open Settings โ Integrations โ Slack. The channel list shows whether each channel is syncing, synced, not synced yet, or has an error. A customer channel missing from Add Channel needs Deck Bot first: run /invite Deck in that channel.
- 04
Sample Recent Feedback in Each Tool
In each tool, read recent customer-facing items such as tickets, call notes, and channel messages. Note the topic, a short quote, the date, and a link. Group them into 5 to 15 topics, and treat the counts as your own sample.
- 05
Check Each Topic in Deck
Search your insights in Visualize and look for a matching theme for each topic. Mark it Covered when Deck has insights on it in the window, Thin when Deck has a few but the other tool has many more, and Missing when Deck has none.
- 06
Fix the Biggest Gaps First
An admin connects or reconnects tools in Settings โ Integrations. For a tool Deck has no integration for, export a CSV and upload it in Manage โ CSV Uploads, or upload call transcripts in Manage โ User Interviews. Pick the 3 fixes that add the most signal.
