The Best Tools to Prioritize Feature Requests by Revenue, ARR, and Churn Risk in 2026

Last updated: · By Matt Teixeira, Founder and CEO

Short answer

The best software for tracking feature requests and linking them to customer revenue depends on where requests arrive. Canny totals MRR or ARR on each voting-board idea, and Savio does the same for requests your sales and CS teams log. Deck pulls requests out of tickets, calls, and Slack and filters them by ARR, industry, or churn risk from your CRM. Productboard and Aha! Ideas add roadmaps; Enterpret and BuildBetter fit enterprise or call-heavy teams. Underneath, they all work the same way: sync revenue from your CRM at the account level, match each request to an account, and count each account once. Get that last step wrong and no tool will fix your ranking. Under about 50 paying accounts, a spreadsheet does the job for free.

Key Takeaways

  • Revenue lives in your CRM. Every tool here reads ARR or renewal fields from Salesforce, HubSpot, or an API, usually on a higher plan.
  • Count accounts, not mentions. Summing ARR per mention can count one chatty customer several times over.
  • Keep ARR asking, ARR renewing soon, and pipeline asking in separate columns. Never add pipeline to ARR.
  • Pick a total or a filter. Canny puts a dollar figure on each idea (Canny Help); Deck filters feedback by CRM fields but shows no ARR total (Deck docs).
  • If fewer than about 80% of requests match an account with ARR, fix matching before you trust any total.

We ranked these for SaaS and AI startups with 1 to 10 PMs whose requests arrive in support and sales conversations. If yours live on a voting board, start with Canny or Savio. Deck is our product, so its limitations are listed as plainly as the rest.

How Does Revenue Data Get Attached to a Feature Request?

Through three joins: feedback to a person, person to an account, and account to its CRM revenue fields. When a revenue total looks wrong, one of these broke.

JoinUsual keyWhere it breaks
Feedback to personEmail, or a Zendesk, Intercom, Slack, or Gong IDAnonymous widget feedback, forwarded emails, call notes with no contact
Person to accountEmail domain or CRM contact IDGmail addresses, agencies, subsidiaries on other domains
Account to revenueCRM sync of ARR, plan, renewal date, healthARR kept only in billing, stale fields, ARR stored on contacts

Test your match rate before you buy anything. Pull 50 recent requests and count how many land on an account with ARR. Unmatched rows skew toward self-serve and free users, so a low rate quietly tilts every total toward sales-led accounts.

Store ARR on the account record, never the contact, or every contact at a big customer carries its full ARR. If ARR lives only in billing, copy it to a CRM account field first; every tool here reads the CRM more easily. For which objects and fields to use in each CRM, see the HubSpot, Salesforce, and Attio guides.

1. Deck: Best for Filtering Feedback from Every Source by ARR and Churn Risk

Deck is an AI product manager that pulls requests out of tickets, calls, Slack, interviews, and surveys, groups them into Themes, and ranks them in an Opportunity Backlog. Revenue enters as CRM fields you filter by.

Revenue data
Connect Salesforce, HubSpot, or Attio and pick fields such as ARR, Industry, or Churn Risk. Deck matches feedback to the CRM record and can map arr__c and annual_revenue to one ARR field (Deck Salesforce docs). In HubSpot, "Annual Revenue greater than 100,000" is one filter, and Deck stores only customer and company IDs (Deck HubSpot docs).
Pricing
Free has 200 AI credits a month and 1 integration. Starter is $99 a month ($79 annual). CRM integration starts on Business at $249 a month ($199 annual). No per-seat pricing.
Strengths
Requests nobody logged still count, because Deck reads the source conversations. Segments group feedback by email domain, plan, support-tool fields, or Slack channel, with AI classification for the rest (Deck Segments docs). Scope an opportunity to a segment and Deck re-scores it for those customers. Through the MCP server, Claude or ChatGPT can answer "What are churn-risk customers complaining about?"
Limitations
No ARR total per Theme or opportunity, and revenue does not feed the Impact score. CRM sync needs Business, and a churn-risk filter needs a risk or health field in your CRM. Segment rules on CRM fields, set through the MCP server, match text (equals, contains, in), so a banded "ARR 50-100k" field beats a raw number (Deck segment workflow docs). No voting board or public roadmap.
Best for
SaaS and AI startups whose requests arrive in support and sales conversations. Start with the define segments playbook.

2. Canny: Best for a Revenue Total on Every Board Request

Revenue data
Salesforce or HubSpot "sync company revenue values automatically," and the SDK, API, Intercom, Zendesk, and Segment also work. Each idea's Impact Overview totals MRR or ARR across companies with linked insights, broken down by company (Canny Help).
Pricing
Free covers 25 tracked users, and Pro starts at $79 a month billed annually for 100. Business, which adds CRM integrations, is custom (Canny pricing). Ideas is on Free, Pro, and Business, and the revenue article lists the SDK, API, and manual entry as sources with no plan requirement (Canny Help).
Strengths
The clearest dollars-per-request view here, plus voting, a public roadmap, and a list of companies to tell when it ships.
Limitations
Revenue appears only on ideas with insights from companies that have revenue data, and only admins see it (Canny Help). Pricing rises with tracked users (Canny billing plans).
Best for
Product-led SaaS with an active feedback board.

3. Savio: Best for Requests Logged by Customer-Facing Teams

Revenue data
CS and sales log requests on a customer's behalf, then prioritize them with "HubSpot Customer Data like MRR or Opportunity Revenue," synced automatically (Savio). HubSpot, Salesforce, and Segment are on Business (Savio pricing).
Pricing
Essential is $39, Professional $79, and Business $249 a month billed annually, each with one paid user. Extra paid users cost $23 to $49; free users are unlimited (Savio pricing).
Strengths
Simple, and the whole CS team can log requests on free seats.
Limitations
CRM revenue needs Business. Coverage depends on people logging requests; neither the pricing page nor the features page lists AI analysis of calls or tickets.
Best for
Sales-led B2B teams where AEs and CSMs already capture requests by hand.

4. Productboard: Best for Multi-PM Orgs on Salesforce

Revenue data
Number fields on companies become aggregated customer fields. Productboard imports them only from Salesforce; for HubSpot or billing data, you update them through the API (Productboard Help). The Salesforce integration is Enterprise only (Productboard pricing).
Pricing
Business is $59 per maker per month billed annually, and Enterprise is custom (Productboard Spark FAQ). The pricing page shows a 5-maker minimum.
Strengths
The Customer Importance Score counts each user once, caps any one company at 3 points per feature, and breaks out by segment (Productboard Help). Roadmaps and portals are built in.
Limitations
Native CRM revenue import needs Enterprise, and scores count only feedback someone linked to a feature.
Best for
Orgs with five or more PMs on Salesforce.

5. Aha! Ideas: Best for Ideas Portals with Account and Deal Data

Revenue data
Advanced links "account and opportunity data" from Salesforce and "account and deal data" from HubSpot to ideas, groups ideas and proxy votes by organization, and segments feedback by "revenue amount" (Aha! Ideas pricing).
Pricing
Essentials is $39 and Advanced $59 per user per month billed annually, with a 3-user minimum (Aha! Ideas pricing).
Strengths
Unlimited portals, proxy votes for sales and support, and a direct line into Aha! Roadmaps.
Limitations
Revenue features start at $177 a month for 3 users on annual billing, and ideas must be submitted or linked by hand.
Best for
Teams already on Aha!, or that want a portal and CRM-linked ideas in one tool.

6. Enterpret: Best for Revenue-Weighted Themes at Enterprise Volume

Revenue data
A customer context graph ties each conversation to its account, and Enterpret says "every request is weighted by the accounts and revenue behind it." Its Escalation Shield "finds at-risk accounts in every ticket, call and thread" (Enterpret).
Pricing
Quote-based. AWS Marketplace lists $120,000 for 12 months and up to 300,000 feedback records (AWS Marketplace).
Strengths
Revenue sits inside the ranking itself, at a volume most tools here can't handle.
Limitations
Enterprise pricing, and the ranking is only as good as the account data behind it.
Best for
Large orgs processing hundreds of thousands of feedback records a year.

7. BuildBetter: Best for Call-Heavy Teams That Track Renewals

Revenue data
The CRM integration syncs contacts, companies, and activities from HubSpot or Salesforce (BuildBetter docs), and BuildBetter says requests inherit each account's ARR and renewal date (BuildBetter blog). Pricing lists CRM enrichment from Starter but doesn't say which plan syncs those fields. Projects roll up "cumulative ARR from every distinct customer company linked to the project's signals" (BuildBetter docs).
Pricing
Starter, with CRM enrichment, is $1,608 a year. Pro, at $17,280 a year, adds Projects plus health scores and renewals (BuildBetter pricing).
Strengths
Strong on call recordings, and ARR counts once per distinct company.
Limitations
ARR rollups need Pro, and Projects sit behind a feature flag (BuildBetter docs).
Best for
Teams whose richest evidence is in sales and success calls.

8. A Spreadsheet: Best for Under 50 Paying Accounts

Pricing
Free in Google Sheets or Excel.
Strengths
One row per account per request makes double counting impossible. Paste ARR, renewal date, and health from a monthly CRM export.
Limitations
Values go stale between exports, and someone reads every ticket.
Best for
One PM and a few dozen accounts. As a rule of thumb, switch to a tool past three feedback sources or an hour of upkeep a week.

| Request | Account | ARR | Renewal date | Health | Mentions | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bulk CSV export | Acme | 120000 | 2027-03-31 | At risk | 4 | [ticket], [call] |

Accounts asking: =COUNTIFS(A:A, "Bulk CSV export")
ARR renewing 180d:  =SUMIFS(C:C, A:A, "Bulk CSV export", D:D, "<="&(TODAY()+180))

How Do You Add Up Revenue for a Request Without Double Counting?

Count each account once at its account-level ARR, then read three numbers side by side. Most bad revenue rankings come from arithmetic, not tooling.

An illustrative example with made-up numbers: a bulk export request gets 12 mentions in a quarter, 8 from Acme ($200,000 ARR), 3 from Birch ($40,000), and 1 from Cobalt ($20,000). Summed per mention, it looks like $1,740,000; summed per account, it is $260,000, so the first figure is almost seven times too high.

Then keep three separate columns:

  • ARR asking: how much of your current base wants it.
  • ARR renewing in the next two quarters: what is at stake soon.
  • Pipeline asking: what it might win. Keep it out of ARR: it is a forecast, and lost deals tend to get tagged with whatever feature was missing.
Treat a One-Account Request as a Deal
If one account supplies more than half the ARR behind a request, it is a commercial decision, not a roadmap signal. Send it to the account owner with a scope and a price, and decide it alongside the renewal.

Revenue weighting favors your biggest customers by design, so rank inside segments too; the segment comparison playbook puts two groups side by side. For a full scoring model with capped ARR and a churn multiplier, see why feature voting fails.

Where Does Churn Risk Data Come From?

From a field your team already keeps: a health score, a risk flag, or a renewal date in your CRM or CS platform. Most tools here read that field rather than calculate risk. Enterpret flags at-risk accounts from conversations, and BuildBetter Pro adds health scores.

  • Have a health score? Sync it on the account and filter by it.
  • No score? Use renewal within 180 days as the proxy. Crude, but honest.
  • Add a Churned segment and read what lost accounts said in their last 90 days.
  • Check freshness. If CS updates health monthly, your churn view can be a month old.

How to Choose

  1. Start where requests arrive. Board or portal: Canny or Aha! Ideas. Logged by CS and sales: Savio. Buried in tickets, calls, and Slack: Deck, Enterpret, or BuildBetter.
  2. Match your CRM to the plan that syncs it. Productboard imports company fields only from Salesforce, on Enterprise. Canny, Savio, and Deck sync CRMs on Business; Aha! on Ideas Advanced.
  3. Decide whether you need a total or a filter. Canny, Savio, Productboard, and BuildBetter Pro put revenue on each request or Project. Deck and Aha! Ideas filter and segment by it.
  4. Price the revenue tier, not the entry tier. The last column of the table above shows what CRM revenue actually costs in each tool.
  5. Under 50 paying accounts, start with the sheet. Buy a tool when upkeep, not curiosity, forces it.

Once requests carry revenue, weigh them against effort with one of the best roadmap prioritization tools. If your requests live in support and sales conversations, try Deck free and add CRM fields on Business.

Frequently Asked Questions

Canny and Savio are the most direct choices when requests are logged on a board or by your customer team, because both put a revenue figure on each request. Deck suits teams whose requests are buried in tickets, calls, and Slack and need filtering by ARR or churn risk. Productboard and Aha! Ideas add roadmaps, and Enterpret and BuildBetter suit enterprise or call-heavy teams.

Sync ARR and a churn-risk field, such as a health score or renewal date, from your CRM at the account level. Match each piece of feedback to an account by email domain or CRM ID. Then filter or segment by those fields, for example accounts above 100,000 dollars in ARR, and count each account once.

Canny totals MRR or ARR on each idea, Savio sorts requests by MRR or opportunity revenue, Productboard aggregates company number fields, and BuildBetter Pro rolls up ARR per Project. Deck does not total ARR per request; it filters and segments feedback by CRM fields instead.

Not at first. Under about 50 paying accounts, a spreadsheet with one row per account per request and ARR pasted from a CRM export works. Past that, a sync saves hours and keeps numbers current, though most tools reserve it for higher plans.

Usually because ARR is counted per mention or per contact instead of once per account. If five people from one account raise the same request, that account's ARR should still count once. Also check that ARR is stored on the account record, not copied onto every contact.
