## What Is a Weekly Customer Feedback Report?

A weekly customer feedback report is a short brief of what changed in your feedback over the last seven days. It covers new feedback, the themes and subthemes that are growing, the negative signal to watch, and NPS movement. Every number comes from your feedback tool, and every item links to the quotes behind it.

## Why Weekly Feedback Updates Get Skipped or Padded

Every Monday someone is meant to tell the team what customers said last week. It takes an hour of reading tickets and notes, so it gets skipped. Or it gets padded with the same top complaints as last month, and nobody can tell what is actually new or growing.

## How Deck Shows What Changed This Week

Deck already tracks which subthemes are trending, which ones changed suddenly, which ones skew negative, and how NPS is moving. The brief reads those numbers instead of recounting feedback by hand. A section with nothing new says “No change this week” instead of repeating old signal, and writing the brief changes nothing in your workspace.

## How to Write a Weekly Customer Feedback Report in Deck

### 1. Choose the Scope

Decide whether the brief covers all customers or one segment. If you use segments, set the Segment filter at the top of Themes, Subthemes, and NPS Score, and keep the same segment on every page.

### 2. Find What Is Growing

Open Visualize → Subthemes and pick the Trending tab, then Sudden Changes. Note the subthemes with the most upward momentum and the trend Deck shows for each. Only call something growing when Deck's trend says so.

### 3. Check the Negative Signal

Switch to the High Negative tab to see the subthemes with the highest share of negative sentiment. Open each one and check its sentiment timeline for feedback this week.

### 4. Check NPS Movement

Open Visualize → NPS Score. Read the overall score, its trend, and the NPS over time chart. Each point is a rolling 30-day score, so name that period in the brief.

### 5. Pull One Quote per Item

For each of your top three items, open the subtheme and copy a line from Key Quotes. For a theme, use the Theme Insights table on its Overview page. Keep the Deck link next to each quote.

### 6. Write the Brief and Its Caveats

Fill in the template below, three bullets or fewer per section. Note any import still processing or waiting for credits in Manage → CSV Uploads, and any section your plan leaves out.

## Write the Weekly Brief with Your AI Agent

Your agent starts with the `get_overview` tool.

Paste this prompt into your agent:

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Does this work on the Free plan?

Partly. Subtheme trends and NPS need the Starter plan or higher. On the Free plan the brief leaves those sections out and says why.

### When is the best day to run it?

Monday. Deck rebuilds subthemes in its weekly synthesis on Sunday evenings UTC, and the weekly NPS synthesis is usually ready on Monday.

### Why not work out week-over-week changes ourselves?

Deck already computes them. Each subtheme's trend compares the last 14 days with the 14 days before, so the brief quotes Deck's numbers instead of doing its own maths.

### Does writing the brief change anything in Deck?

No. It only reads. Nothing is created, edited, or archived.

### Can the brief be posted to Slack or email?

Deck tools do not send messages. Your agent can use its own Slack or email tool, but it shows you the final text and waits for a yes before it sends anything.

### Can my AI agent run this?

Yes. With Deck MCP connected, paste the prompt on this page. The agent reads new feedback, surging themes, trending subthemes, and NPS, then writes the brief with a Deck link for each item. In Claude and ChatGPT it can also show the Deck home view.
